Dataval was established by George Strachan, Chartered Surveyor (FRICS). Dipl. HI . The company operates in the north east of England from Teesside to the Scottish borders, including the Newcastle/Gateshead conurbation. George has been a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor since 1984 dealing mainly within the residential valuation and survey sector. He has held senior management positions in residential estate agency and in plc retail since 1976 and is currently managing director/chief surveyor of Dataval Ltd. George is one of the UK's first licenced Home Inspector and is also an Assessor for Home Inspectors and valuation surveyors. Geoff Williams has been involved in the residential property industry in the north east of England for over 25 years, having worked for most of the major developers/builders including Barratt, Leech (Persimmon) and Bett Homes (Gladedale Group) at Sales Director level. Geoff has in-depth knowledge of the residential property market and now produces detailed site appraisal reports on new build, part exchange reports and energy performance work. Alistair Strachan BSC (Hons), Dipl. HI  is a property surveyor, a licensed Home Inspector and Domestic Energy Assessor with Dataval. He has been employed by Dataval since June 2004 producing around 1,000+ MV's HCR's, EPC's and HSV's each year. Alistair is qualifying as a Technical member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has a foundation degree in Building Surveying at Northumbria University. 

Dataval provides a range of valuation and survey services including valuations for mortgage and secured lending, Homebuyers survey and valuations (HSVs), Energy Performance Certification on residential and commercial property (EPCs) and Home Condition Reports (HCRs).
